The Right to Protection, CF
BF "Right to Protection" (the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), people in need of international protection, stateless persons and groups at risk of statelessness. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs of free legal aid throughout Ukraine, as well as promotes changes in national legislation in accordance with international standards in the field of human rights.
Deputy Financial Director ensures effective management of the Fund's financial flows, control over compliance with financial policies, support for planning and implementation of budgets, as well as compliance of activities with the requirements of donors and the legislation of Ukraine. The position plays a key role in the stability, transparency and compliance of the Fund's financial processes. 700; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">1. Management of financial processes
Support of the financial director in planning, coordination and control of the Fund's financial operations.
Control over implementation of program budgets and preparation of forecasts.
2. Internal financial policies and control
Participation in the development and updating of financial policies, SOPs, instructions, procedures.
Analysis of identified financial risks and preparation of recommendations for their elimination.
3. Work with donors and compliance with financial requirements
Ensuring the fulfillment of financial requirements of donors: FCDO, UN, USAID, EU, GIZ, etc.
Communication with donors on financial issues, participation in audits.
4. Preparation of financial statements
Formation of internal financial statements for the management of the Fund.
Participation in the preparation of annual financial statements.
Ensuring correct accounting in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation.
Coordination of data collection from regional teams and project managers.
5. Budgeting and financial planning. style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Analysis of the use of funds and deviations from budgets.
Development of financial forecasts, plans and scenarios.
Ensuring the correctness of calculations in the budgets of grant applications.
6. Work with partners and sub-grantees
Checking the financial parts of agreements with partners and subgrantees.
Analysis of financial reports of partner organizations.
Coordination of financial processes within sub-grant programs.
Participation in audits, advising partners on financial procedures.
7. Coordination of audit processes
Participation in external and internal audits of the Fund and individual projects.
Preparation of necessary documents, responses to auditors' remarks.
Implementation of recommendations based on audit results.
8. Support for the development of systems and processes
Participation in the implementation of new financial management and accounting tools.
Optimization of financial procedures to increase efficiency.
Monitoring compliance of IT tools (CRM, accounting systems) with donor requirements.
9. Team support and interaction with units
Mentoring, supporting and consulting members of the finance department.
Work closely with program managers, logistics, HR, procurement and other departments.
Education
Higher education in finance, accounting, economics, management or related areas.
Work experience
At least 3-5 years of work in the field of finance, accounting or financial management.
Experience of working in NGOs, humanitarian or international projects is a significant advantage.
Attention to details, analytical thinking, ability to work with complex data.
Ability to understand and interpret the financial requirements of donors.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Fluency in Ukrainian; English is an advantage.
