Join us to invest in yourself, your career, and the financial world.The role:The Deposits Compliance Specialist will provide second-line independent oversight and guidance regarding SoFi's consumer and commercial deposit products, services, and processes. Working through our compliance framework, this role is responsible for ensuring that deposit processes are executed in accordance with regulatory requirements. In partnership with the Deposits Compliance Officer, the Specialist will continuously provide insight into the overall risk profile of the business, independent challenge and suggestions for improvements.What you'll do:Ensuring that policies, procedures and processes are compliant, appropriate, competitive, well-controlled, and consistent with Management's risk appetite and strategyAssisting the Deposits Compliance Officer with risk assessments, third party oversight, policy and procedure reviews (aligned with corporate standards), issue management and documentation of controlsMonitoring business activities to identify regulatory risks to which the organization is exposed and work with the business and other support functions to implement measures to prevent, eliminate, or mitigate those risksValidating completion of compliance issues to ensure full remediation of control gaps, consumer harm and process improvements via testing of both design and control effectiveness, as applicableLeading or participating in projects designed to address regulatory compliance requirementsProvide specialist knowledge and advice to business teams on Compliance matters to ensure a culture of compliance and partnershipAssist in the preparation of examination responses conducted by various regulatory agenciesResponsible for the review of complaints to identify regulatory exceptions, trends and process or disclosure improvementsReview of complaints to determine regulatory impact and customer remediationGuide the Money business as they seek to launch new initiatives, products and servicesEnsures that all tasks are carried out with a high degree of professionalism and ethicsOther duties as assigned to support the consumer compliance programWhat you'll need:BA/BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.5+ years' experience working in compliance, audit or other governance functions with a deep knowledge of risk and controls and deposit/banking regulations, specifically Regulation E, Reg CC and Reg DD. Experience with payment systems (i.e. ACH/NACHA Rules, wires, debit cards, Zelle) a plusExperience with Commercial Checking and Savings accounts and UDAAP is a plusIdeal candidates for this position will be experienced in reviewing disclosure/compliance documentsProcess management and improvement experience, as well as, issue management experience requiredAbility to interact with upper levels of management and multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detailAn open-mind and ability to partner with the business to implement business initiatives while remaining compliant and within the SoFi risk appetiteHigh ethical standards; ability to maintain confidentialityExceptional verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and time management skillsCompensation And BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is listed below.
