Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) in Sense Bank

You are suitable if you have:

• Higher education in the field of information technology, computer science, applied mathematics or economics/finance (with a technical specialization)
• Availability of certificates (preferred): PostgreSQL: PostgreSQL Certified Professional
• From 3-5 years of experience in database administration in real projects, preferably in banking or finance field
• Experience of working with PostgreSQL (versions 10-16)
• Experience of database migration between different DBMS or versions
• Experience of working with highly loaded systems and clusters
• Deep knowledge of SQL. Experience of writing and optimizing complex queries, procedures, triggers.
• Knowledge of operating systems: Linux/Unix (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows Server for DBMS deployment and administration
• Understanding DBMS architecture, PostgreSQL Streaming Replication
• Skills in working with monitoring tools: Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Server Management Studio, pgAdmin, Zabbix, Nagios
• Automation experience will be a plus (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python).
• Analytical thinking, proactivity and ability to solve complex technical problems problems.
• Ability to work under pressure and under limited time conditions (crIT systems in banks work 24/7)
• Communication skills to interact with developers, analysts and management
• High responsibility: Databases in banks contain critical information (financial transactions, customer data), so mistakes can lead to significant financial or reputational losses.

Will a plus:

• Knowledge of the English language at a level no lower than Intermediate (for working with documentation, international teams or vendors)
• Understanding banking processes (payment systems, transaction processing, AML/KYC)
• Experience with other DBMS (Oracle, Ms SALSQL, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB) is advantage
• High responsibility: Databases in banks contain critical information (financial transactions, customer data), so mistakes can lead to significant financial or reputational losses.
