We seek an experienced Database Administrator to lead database administration and cloud migration efforts. The ideal candidate will deeply understand database management systems and AWS cloud infrastructure and have experience migrating onpremises/Azure/GCP databases to AWS. This role involves planning designing and executing database migration projects ensuring data integrity security and performance optimization.

Work location remote from Ukraine

Database Administration:

• Manage monitor and maintain relational database systems (SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL etc.) and NoSQL database systems (MongoDB AWS DynamoDB).
• Disaster recovery planning.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.

Cloud Database Migration:

• Planned and executed the migration of onpremises/Azure/GCP databases to AWS both managed and selfhosted.
• Design and implement AWSbased database solutions including RDS Aurora and Redshift.
• Develop and execute migration strategies ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Requirements :

• 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Excellent knowledge of relational database management systems (SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL)
• Excellent understanding of noSQL database management systems (MongoDB AWS DynamoDB)
• Expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure (RDS Aurora Redshift DMS EC2 S3 etc.)
• Experience with database migration tools and techniques
• Excellent communication problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience with AWS Cloud Migration tools advantage
• AWS certification (e.g. AWS Certified Database Specialty AWS Certified Solutions Architect) advantage
• Proficiency in automation scripting (Python Bash PowerShell) advantage
• OpenSearch/ElasticSearch knowledge advantage
