Data Warehouse (Big Data) Engineer (DevOps) in PrivatBank

Main duties connections:

• Hadoop cluster support, R&D, participation in the design of application architecture using Hadoop stack frameworks (HDFS, MapReduce, HBase, Hive, Oozie, Spark, Hue, SolR, Flume)
• Support for serverless solutions (AWS EMR)
• Terraform deployment and support
• Organization and support of ETL processes (NiFi \ Flume) OPS function
• Deployment and scaling of the bank's existing and new software complexes
• Implementation of existing schemes for ensuring fault tolerance of software complexes and improvement of these schemes according to the needs of the bank
• Implementation of existing types of monitoring and notification of work software complexes, development of monitoring methods for specific bank software complexes
• Performance of routine work and operational work to eliminate failures in the work of software complexes in the event of their occurrence in the 24/7/365 mode

Basic requirements:

• Understanding and experience in building Data Warehouse processes
• 3+ years of Linux administration experience
• Fluency in scripting languages: Bash, Ruby or Python, Perl, JavaScript;
• Understanding the principles of building fault-tolerant systems (High availability)
• Experience in operating the Hadoop distribution (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Mapr, Pivotal) from 2 years
• Experience using monitoring systems Prometheus, Zabbix, AWS CloudWatch, etc.

Desired knowledge and skills:

• Knowledge and experience of using ETL systems
• Knowledge of Git (Github, Gitlab etc.) and experience of debugging Git flow in a team
• Knowledge and experience of working with Terraform4
