Project "Strengthening Public Trust" (UCBI - 4) of the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is designed to promote a united, democratic and Europe-oriented recovery of Ukraine from consequences of the invasion of Russia. This goal will be achieved through three initial tasks: 1. Strengthening the transparency and accessibility of recovery processes that reflect local priorities in the most war-affected regions. 2. Strengthening ties between the territories temporarily occupied by Russia and other parts of Ukraine. 3. Promoting the involvement of citizens of the frontline and liberated regions in the life of their communities in order to strengthen their stability and build a better future.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of the data collected within the framework of program activities. Verification of all data of monitoring and evaluation plans (results, indicators, beneficiaries) in accordance with supporting documents.
  • Providing support to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data verification within the framework of the implemented program activities according to established monitoring, evaluation and training procedures, ensuring understanding by all team members of expectations for data verification.
  • Providing assistance in tracking the implementation of activities and achieving results for each activity, ensuring the availability of appropriate documentation in Kimonix's document flow systems and client systems.
  • Performing other tasks as directed by the Senior Director (MELC).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and understanding of local, regional and national political contexts, as well as the ability to think creatively are required.
  • One (1) year preferred professional experience working in complex programs.
  • Previous experience with data collection and verification is a must.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail, versatility, integrity.
  • Professional Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Ability/willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Ability/willingness travel to the locations where UCBI works.
  • Ability to practically demonstrate successful experience in all the key competencies listed above.
  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language is mandatory - in oral and written form forms.
  • Compulsory professional command of the English language – in oral and written forms.

Program Description

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative 4 (UCBI 4) aims to support advancing Ukraine’s unified, democratic, and Europe-oriented recovery from Russia’s invasion. This goal will be met through three program objectives: 1. To strengthen resilience and accelerate short-term recovery in frontline and liberated communities; and 2. To reinforce connections between people in the temporarily occupied territories with the rest of Ukraine.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality of data collected by program activities. Verify all M&E plan data (outputs, indicators, beneficiaries) against source verification documents.
  • Support accurate and timely data verification for performed program activities, following established MEL procedures and ensure common understanding among teams on data verification expectations.
  • Assist in tracking activities and results per activity and ensure proper documentation in Chemonics and client file management systems.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Director - MELC.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and understanding of local, regional, and national political context, with the ability to think creatively required.
  • One (1) year professional experience on complex field programs preferred.
  • Prior experience in working with data collection and verification required.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to resolve assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail, versatility, and integrity.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability/willingness to travel to locations where UCBI works.
  • Ability to practically demonstrate successful experience with all the core competencies listed above required.
  • Fluent written and oral Ukrainian required.
  • Proficient written and oral English required.
  • For conscripts, a note on military registration in military ID is required.
