Join our dynamic software development team. You will be working on Datalyze, a cutting-edge data aggregation platform serving the Life Science industry in the Nordics. The platform supports a leading Business Intelligence platform ran from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Your contributions as a Data Platform Engineer at Signum will be critical to the success of our projects and products. We count on you to ensure that our solutions are at the forefront of the industry.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing the infrastructure and architecture that supports the storage, processing, and analysis of data within an organization.

This includes building tools and implementing workflows to create a specific data platform that supports other teams so they can run pipelines, jobs, and reports.

Ideally, you know the modern data stack from both the engineering and analytics sides.

Need to have to succeed in this position:

• Databricks
• Spark, PySpark
• Python
• SQL
• Ingestion from Kafka
• Batch processing and Structured Streaming
• Delta Tables Change Data Feed
• DeltaLake and Azure Storage Account
• Data governance with Unity
• Public cloud (we use Azure)

Nice to have:

• Public cloud (AWS)
• NoSql db (key-value, document, graph, etc.)
• Great Expectations
• Python or C# to create a service
• Orchestration tools (airflow, delta live tables, luigi, argo etc.)
• TDD, BDD, behave
• Terraform
• Kubernetes, Docker

Responsibilities:

Our new Data Platform Engineer is expected to assume the following responsibilities:

• Design and development of data platform
• Set software engineering best practices for platform development and analytics (DataOps)
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software and data engineering
• Close collaboration with other team members and business stakeholders
• Model reusable datasets
• Establish and maintain the data documentation to ensure that business and data analysts use the same definitions and language
• Define data quality metrics and standards
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
