International Solidarity (SI) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization that has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters for more than 40 years, providing the vital needs of food, water and shelter. In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. With a presence in approximately twenty countries, SI teams - a total of 2,000 people, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent headquarters staff and volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment, while respecting culture.

 International Solidarity (SI) intends to prevent and fight against all types of abuse – all acts of exploitation, abuse and/or sexual harassment (SEX) against members of the beneficiary communities, fraud, corruption, violation of the rights of persons and/or property, financing of activities , which harms human rights, which can be carried out as part of its intervention. SI has a zero-tolerance policy for SNEs.

The Data Officer assists operational teams in entering, processing and backing up information collected, including in the field.< /p>

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain updated application databases
  • Maintain up-to-date state of the map of locations for the activities of Solidarity International
  • Enter the provided data into the appropriate software
  • Support teams in processing the collected information and data
  • Storage and backup of information and data
  • Preparation and provision of data and information at the request of software teams

REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:

  • Female/Male from 18 years old
  • O world: It is desirable to have a diploma of higher education (bachelor or higher)
  • Experience: optional, but preferred in the following areas: data collection, conducting interviews and/or focus groups, data entry.
  • Knowledge of languages:
  • strong> Ukrainian and Russian (required). English is an advantage (if desired) Knowledge of IT programs: Intermediate computer skills, data processing and survey software. Knowledge of software: Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience using KOBO is a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Confidentiality, detail oriented, respect/honesty and ethics, adaptive and sensitive communication with respondents, ability to balanced judgment, the ability to use diplomacy and supporthave very good relations with community members and stakeholders during field visits, willingness to learn and adhere to humanitarian values.

 WORKING CONDITIONS:< /strong>

Place of work: office in the central part of the city of Mykolaiv

Contract: fixed-term employment contract ( according to Ukrainian legislation) until September 30, 2024

Type of employment: full-time

Salary: 885 EURO gross (paid in hryvnias, according to the monthly rate of the bank of the European Commission). and cover letter preferably in English

The Data Entry Clerk assists the operation teams in the entry, processing and backing-up of information collected also in the field.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

  • Maintain updated program databases
  • Maintain updated location maps for Solidarites International activities
  • Enter data provided into the appropriate software
  • Support teams in the processing of information and data gathered
  • File and back up information and data
  • Produce and provide the data and information requested by the program teams

PROFILE FORSAKEN:

  • Male/Female above 18 years old
  • Studies: Higher education diploma preferable (undergraduate or higher)
  • Experience : Not mandatory but preferably in the following field: data collection, conduction of interviews and/or focus groups, data entry.
  • Language : Ukrainian and russian (mandatory). English is an asset (optional)
  • IT : intermediate computer skills, data processing and survey software. Knowledge of software: Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience in using KOBO is an advantage.
  • Soft skills : Confidentiality, detail oriented, respect/integrity and ethics, adaptative and sensitive communication with respondents, ability to use prudent judgment, ability to use diplomacy and maintain very good relationships with community members and stakeholders during field visits, willingness to learn and to adhere to humanitarian Values.

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

Place of work: office at the central part of Mykolaiv city 

Contract: fixed-term contract (according to Ukrainian legislation) untill 30/09/2024 

Type of employment: full-time

Salary: 885 EURO gross (paid in UAH according to the monthly rate of the bank of the European Commission). 

Additionally:  paid vacation 31 calendar days, paid family leave, life insurance.
