Data Engineer Київ Job Summary: You will bebreaking the data silos, defining data architecture, building pipelines and transformations, and then expressing the actionable insights via APIs orcustomer-facing apps. This isarole with alot ofexternal exposure: You will beregularly sitting down with the end user, either asoftware engineer who’s building apps based onthe platform orabusiness stakeholder who’s looking tomake critical decisions, toshow them the art ofwhat’s possible. Onatypical day, you might find yourself engaged inarchitectural discussions with your colleagues, making sense ofmassive datasets, orprototyping acustom solution that demonstrates the way tosolve problems your customers face. There isalot ofautonomy but also anexperienced team tosupport you inthe process. Skills &Experience : Work experience with Python modules and Pandas library; Data engineering experience; Experience working with 3rd party APIservices; Clear understanding ofETL/ELT and data curation; Strong experience and understanding ofrelational and distributed databases (including internals e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.); Experience working with databases using pure SQLqueries; Strong experience with AWS (S3, Aurora Serverless, Glue/Athena) and Docker; Strong Python expertise; Hands-on experience with dbt; Hands-on experience with Airflow/Prefect; Experiences inOOP, design patterns, and design principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI); Experience inusing code linters such asFlake8 and Pylint; Knowledge ofPEP8standard; Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and deployment; Good written and spoken English. Nice tohave: Experience with data monitoring and tracing indistributed and service-oriented systems; Experience indistributed systems design and best practices; Understanding ofintegration withBI tools (esp. Tableau); Jenkins asCI tool and/or ETLorchestrator; Javascript: Node.js + front-end part (ReactJS). Responsibilities: Work with the data engineering team and design the data platform; Systematically work onformalizing business processes, customer acquisition, lifecycles, and the overall data framework; Actively participate inthe development process; Break the data silos; Define data architecture; Build pipelines and transformations, and then express the actionable insights via APIs orcustomer-facing apps.
