Data collector, interviewer (MEAL project) in ACTED

ACTED is a French NGO founded in 1993 that supports vulnerable populations affected by humanitarian crises around the world. ACTED provides ongoing support to vulnerable communities by ensuring the sustainability of post-crisis interventions and preparedness for the long-term challenges facing populations in order to break the cycle of poverty, promote development and reduce vulnerability to disasters. In order to ensure the proper level of control and high efficiency of work, the MEAL Department (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Training) periodically conducts surveys of aid recipients (beneficiaries) from ACTED. Surveys are usually conducted by enumerators (data collectors/interviewers). These surveys can be conducted either before the start of the project, during its implementation, or after its completion.

In the course of the survey, the enumerator will, in particular, find out:

• whether the beneficiaries received assistance;
• how satisfied they are with it;
• whether the beneficiaries encountered any problems while receiving assistance;
• what other needs they have.

  Period of work:

  The position involves project work. The term of the project is 01/05/2023 — 31/07/2023 with the possibility of extension.

  
  Remuneration:

  The data collector will receive UAH 1,280. for one working day (before tax).

  Main duties: 

  Under the direction of the team leader, the data collector must:

  - perfectly possess and apply in practice the main humanitarian principles;

  - observe internal regulations, safety rules and ACTED labor discipline;

  - participate in trainings and trainings aimed at improving professional skills;

  - thoroughly know and be able to apply research methodology, respondent selection method and interview protocol;

  - be able to organize meetings at all levels and conduct interviews at data collection sites with focus groups and key informants;

  - follow the information collection plans developed by the management using appropriate technical devices;
  - ensure error-free entry, storage and processing of entered information in accordance with the instructions;
   - to be able to evaluate and carry out an initial analysis of the collected information;
   - to coordinate their work with the management, to take an active part in the discussion of work plans and results and any other issues;
   - constantly follow the instructions and instructions of the team leader, the job description of the data collector and the code of conduct. br/>Requirements for candidates:

  - high level of self-organization and responsibility;
   - ability to work with a minimum level of coordination;
  - fluency in Ukrainian and Russian languages;
  - experience in using a smartphone based on the operating systemAndroid systems;
  - knowledge of software: Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Google tools;
  - high teamwork skills;
  - developed communication skills;
  - high level of dedication ;
  - availability of a personal laptop.
  

  An advantage will be considered:
  - work experience in humanitarian organizations;< br/> - experience of working with people of different ages and social status;
  - experience of conducting research (in particular, sociological);
  - experience of conducting individual and group surveys;
  - experience of working with KOBO Collect .
