The Data Analyst I facilitates the utilization of analytical and programming skills within the Data Science team and operational units to collect, analyze, and interpret data sets. They play a crucial role in developing data-driven solutions for complex business challenges, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and effective communication of insights. Additionally, they support data platform setup, configuration, and quality control, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and business value.Support Data Science team and operational and science teams to utilize their analytical and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data sets. Support Data Science team to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges. This includes gathering requirements and specifications, executing data transformation logic, and coordinating with project managers and other key stakeholders.Primary ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business data sets and support in implementing data driven solutions focused on deep insights, improving efficiency and creating value.Performs data analysis and data processing in support of reporting/analytic solutionsCoordinates multiple sources of data for file transformation, processing, and proper documentation and quality control across assigned projects.Supports operational issues and troubleshooting directly impacted by data related aspects of the system.Supports the development of data reports and dashboards, as needed.Support data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic solutions.Supports the internal set-up, configuration, data integration, and quality control of data platforms including data warehouses, operational data stores, data lakes and more.Supports ad-hoc analysis, builds interactive dashboards that provide business insights, creates business value and presents results in a clear manner.Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure data collection supports future business goals.Ensures data completeness and accuracy through developing and implementing data quality checks. Assesses the effectiveness, quality and accuracy of data sources and data platforms.Communicates effectively with team, stakeholders, and other operations personnel on the successful execution of data analysis and deliverables.Coordinates multiple sources of data for file transformation, processing, and proper documentation and quality control across assigned projects.Supports operational issues and troubleshooting directly impacted by data related aspects of the system.Communicates effectively within the project team and escalates issues to ensure timely delivery.Secondary ResponsibilitiesMaintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by:Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”).Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards.Contributes To Team Effort ByWorking with internal staff to resolve issues.Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes.Helping others to achieve results.Performing other duties as assigned.Maintains Technical And Industry Knowledge ByAttending and participating in applicable company-sponsored and industry training.Self-directed learning of applicable tools, processes, and industry standardsEducationQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science, Information Technology or business discipline or related experience preferredExperience1+ years of Data aggregation, analysis, and processing experience preferredExperience/Knowledge with writing SQL queries preferredExperience/Knowledge with data visualization software such as Tableau and Power BI preferredCRO / Clinical Trial / Life Science experience preferredAdditional Skill SetHighly motivated self-starter.
