Data Analyst in IT Sanctuary

Data Analyst This position will serve in collecting and auditing data to turn it into information and insight to inform ministry decisions. The role will also monitor performance and develop quality control plans to identify issues and ways to improve systems and database design. The role requires collaborating with database developers to implement the automation process by developer queries so data can be mined for quality control and accuracy. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and Essential Job Functions: Work with database developers to implement databases for more effective data collection and storage as well as strategies to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected.Identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets as it relates to quality and presenceAbility to summarize issues and translate technical information to non-technical audiencesCompile and review information for discrepancies, research and resolve issuesMonitors databases by analyzing data and performing quality control procedures and regular auditsDocument processes and trends by analyzing state queries for audit preventionEnsure integrity of data, verifying information requiring data quality and completeness utilizing software such as Melissa Data. Summarize data in executive reports for presentation to various audiences Complete, verify, and process expense reports, time cards, and corporate credit card reportsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AccessStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work with Salesforce, Melissa Data, Azure SQL ServerAbility to quickly pick up new programs and technology as technology evolvesTechnically adept and able to work with data models and programming languages including SQL and TSQLStrong analytical skills and ability to evaluate and interpret trends and important informationAbility to effectively provide data-rich support when responding to questions, inquires, and/or complaints Ability to work independently, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment under the pressure of deadlinesDemonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environmentQUALIFICATIONS 1+ years experience as a Data Analyst0.5+ years experience with PowerBI or Salesforce TableauDemonstrated commitment to dependability Willingness to raise a mutually agreed upon amount of personal support Experience working in the area of fund development, campaigns, development preferredOpen to learning new concepts, skills, and methodsEnglish — at least Intermediate strong
