Data analyst in Shahtar, FK

We deepen the analytical direction and build a modern system of working with performance data. Therefore, we are looking for talented specialists (especially with little experience) for the position of Data Analyst who love football, follow Ukrainian and world football and are ready to dive into the unique field of sports analytics.

Purpose of the position:

Analysis of performance and fitness data of players of the first team and the Academy to support the sports unit in decision-making regarding:

• training loads
• preparation for matches
• risk of injuries
• individual development of players

Main tasks:

Working with data

• Processing of GPS data (Catapult or similar)
• Preparation of regular reports
• Control of quality and completeness data

Analytics and modeling

• Construction of statistical models: prediction of injury risk, analysis of load (acute/chronic workload), assessment of dynamics of physical form
• Analysis of trends and anomalies
• Comparison of positional profiles

Visualization and communication

• Create a dashboard (Power BI or similar)
• Comprehensible visualization for coaching headquarters
• Brief applied conclusions without "scientific" language

Requirements:

Higher education (Bachelor or Master): Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Information Systems

Professional skills:

Required:

• SQL
• Excel (Advanced)
• Power BI or Tableau
• Basic statistics
• Understanding sports metrics

Desirable:

• Experience with sports or physiological data
• Understanding the principles of loading and recovery
