Role purpose:
Save The Children is launching a program of cash and voucher assistance for vulnerable categories of the population, internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine.
The program is multifaceted and will require coordination with many organizations and sub- entities from the community of refugees and IDPs, non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental implementing partners, as well as other national and international organizations providing related services. The CASH Assistant will act as one of the main points of contact between beneficiaries, their families and local authorities.
He/she will be responsible for assisting Save the Children staff in identifying vulnerable households, conducting assessments, registering participants project, work at distribution points and, if necessary, provide assistance throughout the project.
Main duties:< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal">
- Phone or personal registration of project participants;
- Participate and conduct assessments, in accordance with project policies and procedures, to identify vulnerable households;
- Ensuring that beneficiary households are adequately served according to defined guidelines;
- Promote and maintain effective, efficient and positive relationships with beneficiaries, their families, local communities, project
families, local communities, project staff, NGOs and other national, international and governmental institutions; - Provide assistance and facilitate the preparation of regular reports that will be developed and provided throughout the duration of the project;
- Ensuring that refugees are provided with the necessary financial assistance recommendations;
- Provide daily and upon request reports on daily operational activities that occurred in the designated area;
- Act as a representative to ensure acceptance of the project and its objectives, as well as their visibility among beneficiaries, their family members
and local communities; - Ensuring proper recording, documentation and updating of accurate data and information obtained during all fieldwork;
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and knowledge of the local community to which he/she is assigned;
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary during the entire project implementation stage.
To be successful, you must have:
Required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian
- Ability to work with IDPs and demonstrate respectful attitude and sensitivity
- Ability to establish professional relationships with people of different backgrounds
- Ability to work in a team and perform tasks according to requirements at all stages of project implementation
Desirable:
- Experience of working with non-governmental organizations
- Working level of English
- Experience in supporting humanitarian or development projects.
