Role purpose :

< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal">The CP/MHPSS Associate will be responsible for supporting the technical development and day-to-day monitoring and implementation of the CP/MHPSS program with high quality and standards. He/she will be responsible for supervising and leading, training and coaching staff of SC Ukraine and partners in the field of CP/MHPSS. He/she will ensure that interventions meet global and regional MA standards/recommendations; and will also ensure quality implementation, monitoring and reporting under the program. 

Primary responsibilities: 

Evaluation Monitoring, implementation quality measures for prevention and response to CP

  • Under the technical direction of the CP/MHPSS Coordinator, collaborate with other CP colleagues to include needs  in any future joint/intersectoral assessment.  
  • In coordination with the CP/MHPSS Specialist, support other sectors in identifying, designing, planning and implementing community-based prevention and response activities in various sectors: Conduct appropriate, needs-based CP/MHPSS awareness/reassurance activities for families and children. 
  • Support the dissemination of evidence-based, age- and gender-based information at the community level to target populations, including children and families.  
  • Supporting CP/MHPSS specialists in the development and delivery of training and capacity building for social work functional sectors and partners tothey could provide structured activities for boys, girls, teenagers and their carers. 

Coordination, liaison and operational support

  • Provide ongoing feedback on any operational needs or issues , arising on the ground.  
  • Work as the first point of contact for CP sectors and partner organizations on CP/MHPSS related issues at each field location;
  • Perform regular site visits; monitor processes, provide feedback and support to achieve high quality prevention and response, document lessons learned and thus contribute to the development and strengthening of a sustainable program. 
  • Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partners and other CP sector staff.  

To be successful, you must have: strong>

  • Higher education in social work, psychology, pedagogy, sociology or related fields. 
  • Minimum 1 year of responsible professional experience in a similar position 
  • Basic knowledge of CP/MHPSS human rights and protection in a humanitarian context. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with partners
  • Commitment to Save the Children values ​​and child protection
