IBO "BF "SOS Children's Villages" Ukraine" invites to the team a Humanitarian Actions Coordinator(Humanitarian Actions Coordinator).

The coordinator of humanitarian response will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the activities of the "Humanitarian Financing Fund" project, aimed at strengthening sustainability communities, protection of children, youth and families, integration of IDPs, reduction of war-related risks, and capacity building of local partners and local self-government bodies. The position involves close interaction with communities, state partners, the public sector and intersectoral actors.

Key areas of work:

  • coordination of humanitarian and early recovery activities in communities;

  • integration of child protection approaches, family-oriented programs and reduction of risks associated with war;

  • support of initiatives for the integration of IDPs and strengthening of local social services;

  • support of programs for children and youth (life skills, emotional stability, civic participation);

  • projects;

  • conducting monitoring visits to regions of Ukraine, participation in program and donor reporting, as well as preparation of analytical materials and recommendations for program development;

  • adherence to quality standards, accountability and the principle of "do no harm";

  • interaction with financial and logistics teams, v. including within budgeting and procurement procedures.

Necessary competencies, skills and requirements:

  • Higher education in the field of social sciences, international development, humanities, public administration or related fields.
  • Experience of working in humanitarian, social or development projects of 3 years or more (preferred).
  • Experience of working with communities, IDPs, children and young people will be an advantage.
  • Sufficient communication skills in the Ukrainian language; knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the project cycle, the basics of monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience or basic understanding of procurement procedures.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders and in a cross-sectoral environment.
  • High level of self-organization and responsibility.
  • Analytical thinking and result orientation.
  • Sensitivity to social context, ethics, respect for diversity.
  • Readiness for regular business trips around Ukraine.
