The purpose of the organization

The main goal of the FSD is to promote demining activities. In general, the totality of the organization's activities is aimed at alleviating and reducing the social, economic and environmental consequences of pollution from land mines and explosive remnants of war on the territory of Ukraine.

 Position description

< p>The role of the Community Awareness and Non-Technical Mine Risk Assessment (EORE/NTS) Team Coordinator is to oversee the quality of program delivery, all EORE/NTS teams and their activities within the SWISS project. The Coordinator shall provide technical advice to subordinate groups to ensure capacity development of national staff and technical knowledge to ensure proper and safe performance of activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Roles and Responsibilities : Plan and hire EORE/NTS teams as per project requirements.

  • Participate in the development and management of EORE/NTS projects and initiatives that contribute to a safe environment where people can live without the threat of explosive ordnance.< /li>
  • Develop and conduct training for EORE/NTS staff and oversee team accreditation, develop and conduct training for partners as needed.
  • Conduct regular training for EORE/NTS team personnel and ensure that skills of teams meet applicable national and international standards.
  • Mentor, manage, supervise and supervise groups under his/her responsibility, ensuring that they carry out their duties safely and in accordance with SOPs.
  • Initiate, plan and coordinate activities of EORE/NTS teams in target communities.
  • Coordinate and manage needs assessment, baseline surveys and field data collection, including EORE/NTS pre- and post-assessments and surveys pre- and post-cleanup.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools, such as OA/QA.
  • Coordinate and plan with EORE/NTS team leaders the implementation and delivery of various workshops and events EORE/NTS.
  • Ensure that priorities set by the program are met and the needs of donors and beneficiaries are taken into account in all areas of activity.
  • Maintain contact with local authorities, community leaders and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of EORE/NTS activities.
  • Develop, review and provide feedback on proposed materials, messages and methodologies for public outreach in accordance with the SOP and national standard.
  • li>Send to the Head of Operations at his/her request documents and reports on sessions, beneficiaries, communities worked.
  • Maintainry relationships and liaison with other mine action organizations in the area, including those involved in surveying, marking and demining or clearing areas, to ensure good coordination and knowledge sharing.
  • Mandatory Competencies:

    • Minimum 2 years of specific experience in EORE/NTS Informing the population about mine risk with humanitarian mine action programs and non-technical survey.

    • Excellent knowledge of interaction with the community and communication with vulnerable segments of the population.
    • Experience in leadership and team building.
    • Ability to work away from home in a remote environment for a long time, willingness to business trips 
    • Well organized, proactive, flexible and reliable life position.
    • Good report writing and proposal development skills.

     Desired competencies:

    • Proven experience and knowledge in information management and analysis, working with Kobo, Survey 123, Base Camp Garmin, etc.
    • Experience in writing and drafting SOPs, technical work practices and standards.
    • High level of command of the English language.

    Reportability:

    The EORE/NTS Coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager of the SWISS FSD Ukraine project.

    Location ofoffice and workplace:

    The role of the EORE / NTS coordinator is located in the city of Kryvyi Rih, there may also be business trips to other places of implementation of the FSD program in Ukraine or to the conference, if necessary.

    General and requirements:

    • Work within the core values ​​of FSD, promoting the spirit and mission of the organization; especially impartiality and non-political.
    • Work to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization and the program.
    • Keep abreast of global FSD activities.
    • Ensure that you familiarize yourself with all FSD policies and procedures and adhere to them.
    • Participate in meetings and seminars as requested by Geneva HQ.
    • Participate in FSD training events as requested by Geneva HQ.
    • Perform the role of Coordinator in a manner that is appropriate to relevant cultural contexts and within all local legal frameworks.
    • Perform any other duties appropriate to the role as may be required .

    General conditions

    The term of employment depends on the duration of external financing of projects in Ukraine. The minimum period of work is 6 months with the possibility of extension.
