Computer Vision & ML Engineer (C++) in DefTech Agency

Our client is a technology company that is a recognized leader in the field of aviation solutions for Ukraine's defense needs. The unmanned systems created by this team have alreadymade tens of thousands of successful sorties and won international recognition due to their high efficiency and reliability.

Now we are looking forComputer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer to the R&D team. Work in an office, full-time.
This role is for an engineer who wants to apply AI in complex real-world conditions: automatic targeting of anti-aircraft missiles, target tracking, real-time video analytics - all of this directly affects the effectiveness of combat operations.

What will be included in your duties:

• Development of computer vision algorithms: detection, classification and tracking of objects in the video stream in real time;
• Dataset preparation (collection, annotation), training and optimization of models taking into account SBC/GPU/NPU limitations;
• Integration of CV/ML modules with autopilot, tracker, navigation systems;
• Development of a system for automatic target capture and tracking (autolock + manual control);
• Work with OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, OpenVINO;
• Algorithm testing in simulators and during field tests;
• Participation in forming requirements for hardware (cameras, computing modules, interfaces);
• Technical documentation and reporting;

What we expect:

• Proficient in C/C++ and Python, 3+ years of commercial experience;
• Experience with OpenCV, MediaPipe, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX (2+ years);
• Knowledge of classic tracking algorithms: KLT, optical flow, Kalman filter, Deep SORT, Siamese networks;
• Ability to optimize models for real-time execution (TensorRT, OpenVINO, Edge TPU, NPU);
• Work with embedded platforms: NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi;
• Understanding coordinate systems, spatial transformations, GPS/INS;
• Experience with real-time video processing, logging, validation of algorithms in the field;
• Teamwork with Git and task managers (JIRA, Asana);

Will be an advantage:

• Knowledge or experience with ROS;
• CV integration experience/ML to autonomous unmanned systems;
