Currently, the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) is 466,890, which is almost half of the pre-war population of the capital of the region, the city of Dnipro. Among the displaced persons, almost every second is a child or young person: more than 20% are children and adolescents under the age of 18, and 25% are youth and young people under the age of 40. Soon after the beginning of the Russian invasion, the city of Dnipro also became the location of regional authorities authorities of two eastern regions — Luhansk and Donetsk, which have been suffering from an armed conflict for ten years.
