The Red Cross Society of Ukraine is the largest humanitarian organization in Ukraine, which is one of the first to respond to all emergency situations in the country and provides assistance to those who need it most. Regional community engagement and openness specialist (CEA) is responsible for the systematic implementation of the CEA approach in the regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCSU). communication;

  • inclusive of different population groups.
  • The specialist ensures the integration of CEA principles into all programs and activities of the region, especially in the conditions of responding to the consequences of war and emergency situations.

    1. Main duties

    1.1. Integration of CEA into the activities of the regional organization:

    • Ensure the implementation of CEA standards and approaches in accordance with the Policy of Community Engagement and Openness in TCHHU.
    • Ensure consideration of the principles of accountability, non-discrimination and inclusion.

    1.2. Needs assessment and context analysis

    • Organize and support needs assessments with the involvement of the community.
    • Analyze the received data and provide recommendations to the regional leadership and profile coordinators.

    1.3. Feedback and complaints mechanisms

    • Implement and support the functioning of regional feedback mechanisms.
    • Conduct regular analysis of feedback trends.
    • Initiate management discussions on the need to adapt activities based on feedback.

    1.4. Informing and communicating with communities

    • Promote the use of various communication channels taking into account the needs of:
    • older people;
    • persons with disabilities;
    • IDPs;
    • women, children, youth and other vulnerable groups.

    1.5. Support personsalumni and volunteers

    • Provide methodical support to teams during the planning of activities.
    • Support the formation of a culture of accountability in the regional organization.

    1.6. Coordination and reporting

    • Interact with the CEA department of the National Committee of the TCHHU on the implementation of policies and standards.
    • Coordinate the interaction with local authorities and partners on issues of community accountability.

    2. Expected performance results

    • Systematic and accessible feedback mechanisms are functioning in the region.
    • The activities of the regional organization are regularly adapted on the basis of feedback.
    • Staff and volunteers apply the principles of CEA to their work.
    • The level of trust of the communities in the TCHU is increasing.

    3. Qualification Requirements

    • Higher degree in social science, communications, international relations or other relevant field.
    • Community, community or communications experience.
    • Knowledge of community engagement and feedback methods.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work in a team and independently.
    • Communication, facilitation and listening skills
    • Proficiency in computer programs (MS Office, social networks, etc.).
    • Fluency in the Ukrainian language, knowledge of English is an advantage.
