We are looking for a specialist in the field of electronic communications

What will you do?

• prepare proposals and draft decisions of NKEK regarding the transfer numbers;
• help develop rules and procedures in the field of electronic communications;
• process appeals from telecommunications operators and government bodies;
• participate in out-of-court settlement of disputes between operators regarding number porting;
• prepare draft decisions based on the results of such disputes;
• if necessary, participate in working groups and court hearings;
• interact with by international organizations (in particular BEREC);
• join the work of ensuring the stable operation of communications in emergency situations or martial law.

Requirements

• has a higher education of at least a bachelor’s degree in public management and administration, international law, international relations, electronics, electronic communications, instrumentation and radio engineering, information systems and technologies, automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics, information and measurement technologies

• knowledge of the English language at the B1 level (will be an advantage);
• ability to work with documents and regulations;
• interested project management, EU technical assistance projects

Experience in the field of electronic communications will be an advantage.

What is important to know:

• this is analytical and regulatory work;
• the main part of the work is documents, rules, decisions, correspondence;
• you will need to understand legislation and gradually learn the specifics of the field of electronic communications;
• the work involves interaction with communication operators and government bodies;
• sometimes you have to work with complex or controversial issues between operators;
• it is not about a quick result — the result here is systemic and long-term;
• at the start there will be a lot of new information, but there is team support and time for training.
