Necessary competencies and skills:

  • Higher education in the field of communications, journalism or a related field
  • Experience in communications from 3 years
  • High communication skills, negotiation and working with various stakeholders
  • Fluent command of Ukrainian and English languages
  • Ability to work with budgets
  • Attention to details and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Interest in child protection issues

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the full cycle of planning, creation, approval and final review of communication materials (including designs, visuals, presentations, campaign products, reports, etc.), ensuring their compliance with the brand guide, campaign goals and the needs of different audiences
  • Coordinate and mentor the communications team (SMM and PR specialists) of the communications and fundraising department, as well as the involved contractors (designers, video producers, writers and others specialists)
  • Manage communication budgets, coordinate the purchase of contractor services and interaction with them
  • Ensure consistency of key messages, tone of voice and visual language of the organization in all communication channels
  • Participate in the development and regular updating of the content and communication strategy in accordance with the strategic priorities of the organization, campaigns and external context
  • Ensure the long-term logic and consistency of the organization's presence in communication channels, not just the implementation of individual activities
  • Initiate and support the creation of video content (campaign, informational, image)
  • Control the quality, meaningful logic and compliance of materials of the brand guide and ethical standards of SOS Children's Towns
  • Provide strategic communication support for fundraising and advocacy campaigns
  • Collaborate with program, fundraising and advocacy teams to transform complex topics into clear, convincing and ethically correct messages
