The Right to Defense Foundation (the Foundation) is a leading human rights non-governmental organization that comprehensively works on solving the problems of forced displacement and migration, their causes and consequences. Our activities are aimed at protecting the rights of refugees, forced migrants, stateless persons and socially vulnerable population groups.
Our goal is to strengthen the public environment at the level of communities and individuals through direct response to the needs of internally displaced persons and other affected population groups, as well as to the development of the capacity of the state and civil society to identify and implement long-term solutions.
The Protection Cluster Hub Co-Coordinator, in collaboration with the Cluster Co-Coordinator at the national level, will work on behalf of the Foundation to improve the representation of NGOs and other key stakeholders in the activities of the Cluster, strengthen the effective governance of the Cluster and improve humanitarian protection and advocacy programs. p>
MANDATORY LANGUAGES AND RESPONSIBILITY
The delegated powers of the Protection Cluster Hub Co-Coordinator include, in particular:
Organization and support of meetings in accordance with the Partnership Principles, providing consultative and result-oriented cluster meetings.
Support coordination with government partners and other relevant bodies.
Promoting the coordination and conducting of cluster or inter-cluster assessments of protection needs, including assessment with the participation of the affected population.
Promoting protection training for hub members, other local partners and relevant authorities.
Coordination of the initiative to build the capacity of local authorities, partners and civil society in the field of protection.
Ensuring compliance in the activities of the protection cluster of the management regarding vrahiding age, gender and diversity.
Supporting and facilitating the strategy and information management mechanisms of the Protection Cluster.
Definition of key advocacy issues for the Consultation-Based Cluster: Facilitating Joint Cluster/Intercluster Initiatives for ensuring regular and consistent advocacy.
Facilitating Cluster meetings and representing the Defense Cluster at meetings with industry and external partners, authorities and others.
Organization of intercluster meetings, cooperation with working groups and subgroups, as well as relevant bodies to resolve specific issues.
As required to perform other duties.
Reporting and Accountability
The Hub Co-Coordinator reports to the Protection Cluster Co-Coordinator at the national level.
Preparation of high-quality and timely reports in accordance with the instructions of the management and donors in the agreed terms.
Adherence to all relevant policies and procedures of the Foundation, including the code of conduct.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Higher education preferably in the field of human rights, international law or a related field.
From 3 years of practical work experience in the field of human rights and/or international humanitarian law, in particular in the field of protection of the rights of internally displaced persons.
Excellent rounderstanding of protection issues in emergency situations and detailed knowledge of protection principles and humanitarian principles, instructions and legal regime.
Good understanding of the UN cluster approach and architecture.

Previous experience in humanitarian aid coordination.
Fluency in English and Ukrainian, both spoken and written.
Experience in developing strategic documents and conducting assessments.
Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
Experience in facilitating seminars and trainings.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in adverse conditions.
Performing duties with gender sensitivity and zero tolerance for sexual harassment.
Self-motivation.
Flexibility.
