Since its founding in2007, the company has grown tobecome the market leader inapp-based language learning. Intotal, the company offers 14learning languages, from English toIndonesian.Professional courses are readily available via the website aswell asonyour smartphone ortablet. There are 750 team members from over 50different countries work hard toset standards for creating anew learning experienceResponsibilities: Provide technical leadership and vision for the DevOps team, defining and implementing best practices for infrastructure automation, CI/CDpipelines, and cloud security Collaborate with engineering and product teams todefine cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap, aligning with overall business goals Build, lead, and mentor ahigh-performing DevOps team, fostering aculture ofcollaboration, innovation, and continuous learning Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, driving automation, efficiency, and agility within the software delivery lifecycle Maintain adeep understanding ofAWS services, IaCtools, and DevOps methodologies tosolve complex technical challenges Effectively communicate technical concepts tovarious stakeholders, including developers, senior management, and clients Identify and address technical debt within the infrastructure, proactively implementing solutions for long-term maintainability and scalabilityRequirements:Weknow that sometimes, you can’t tick every box. Bachelor`s degree inComputer Science, Software Engineering, orarelated field, orequivalent work experience with aproven track record ofsuccess 7+years ofexperience inaDevOps engineering role with significant leadership experience Proven experience indesigning, architecting, and implementing large-scale, secure, and reliable AWS solutions AWS Security &Architecture Skills (AWS certifications like certified solution architect &security specialty) Demonstrated ability tolead and mentor high-performing DevOps teams Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Relevant AWS certifications are highly preferred (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty) Strong strategic and business acumenHard skills: Cloud: Extensive and deep understanding ofabroad range ofAWS services, best practices, and architectural patterns (AWS Cloud Architecture, AWS Serverless Architecture, AWS Security) IaCMastery: Advanced proficiency inCloudFormation, Terraform, orother IaC tools with the ability todesign and manage complex infrastructure ascode templates. Scripting and Programming Expertise: Strong scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Bash, Go, Ruby) and proficiency with one ormore programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) for building robust automation solutions. Security Champion: Deep understanding ofcloud security best practices, security automation, compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO), and incident response strategies. Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills, fostering apositive team environment, inspiring innovation, and effectively communicating technical concepts todiverse audiences. Terraform &GitHub knowledge Experience with AWS Cloud Architecture, Architecture Diagrams and Data Flow Experience inSecurity services: IAM, WAF, Shield, Access controls, Policies, etc. and AppSec (esp. SAST— Static Application Security Testing), Thread Modeling Multi-Cloud: Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, etc.).Personal skills: Communication (English fully proficient, structured comms (why, what, how) and onpoint (brief, yet specific), nobuzzword bingo, actionable) Analytical thinking (quickly understand architectures, endeavors, etc. and being able toask the right questions toget tothe relevant security aspects ofit) Reasoning (being able tocommunicate why something isneeded, what`s initfor the stakeholder, what's initfor Babbel, etc.) Security Measures (know different security measures for common security challenges with pros and cons and how toimplement them)What`s initfor you?
