Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in ART2HIRE

Our client, a provider of infrastructure IT solutions, is looking for a specialist for the role of Cloud Infrastructure Engineer .

It is now one of the market leaders in providing solutions for dedicated servers, CDN, shared hosting and cloud servers. Their clients are international high-volume projects: VOD cinemas, Ad/CPA networks, FinTech, SaaS and file sharing service providers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining the infrastructure of our cloud products;
• Customer technical support (L2) on cloud products;
• Conducting RnD for new functionality of cloud products; providing recipes for developers;
• Carrying out in-depth diagnostics of problems suitable for SysAdmin competence;
• OS optimization, software for certain services;
• Selection of the most appropriate hardware for certain workloads;
• Documentation maintenance;
• Transfer of experience and knowledge to other specialists.
  

Requirements:

• Expert level Linux systems administration experience;
• Knowledge of hardware (disk parameters, types and principles of operation);
• Understanding the principles of L2 networks, TCP/IP, routing, anycast;
• Extensive experience with Apache, Nginx;
• Understanding the principles of CDN, DNS (authoritative, resolvers, geo-, anycast, etc);
• Knowledge of at least one of KVM virtualization and containerization systems and/or other hypervisors, libvirt, docker;
• Experience with container orchestration systems K8s, Docker Swarm;
• Experience with databases MySQL (+replication), PostgreSQL (+replication), ClickHouse;
• Experience working with RabbitMQ queue services, Apache Kafka;
• Ability to quickly deploy and configure the Grafana/Prometheus stack;
• Experience with ELK stack/Graylog;
• An irrepressible desire to automate everything, experience with Ansible, Terraform and knowledge of shell;

It is desirable to have and will be a plus:

• Experience in technical support;
• Experience with OpenStack Swift, Glance, Keystone, etc;
• Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of distributed data storage: partitioning, replication, hash, mapping, redundancy;
• Knowledge of Python/Ruby/Go, etc of any modern programming language;
• Attention to details, the ability to highlight important/main information in the general scope of information, systematize it and present it in an understandable form.
