NRC began its activities in Ukraine at the end of 2014, supporting people affected by the conflict in the east of the country. We are now increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to provide assistance to people forced to flee their homes due to war.In light of NRC Ukraine moving to a new location much bigger than the current CO office in Kyiv requires a Cleaner to ensure that the new location is cleaned adequately Role and responsibilitiesThe purpose of the position is to provide service support in terms of cleaning Shostka field office in North Area office.Responsibilities Cleaning office rooms, WC, kitchen space: sweeping and moping the floors, cleaning the windows and doors. Dusting office furniture: desks, cupboards, shelfs, chairs and office equipment if required. Ensure toilets and office required items/supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.) are cleaned and well organized; ensure that washrooms, kitchen rooms are properly stocked with requirements. Empty wastepaper baskets, dustbins, and shredding machine; Responsible for removing trash in office area. Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Perform all other work-related duties which is given by supervisor. Competencies preferable Basic Education and High School graduate is preferred. 1-2 years’ Experience working as Cleaner in similar conditions. Ukrainian language. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and in timely manner. Ability to work independently. Role and responsibilities The purpose of the position is to provide service support in terms of office cleaning in the city of Shostka. Duties Cleaning office premises, toilet, kitchen: sweeping and washing floors, washing windows and doors Wiping dust from office furniture: tables, cabinets, racks, chairs and office equipment as needed Ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of objects/equipment for toilets and office premises (soap, paper towels, etc.); ensuring adequate stocking of washrooms, kitchen facilities as required Check waste baskets, waste buckets and shredder; be responsible for taking out trash in the office Order supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance Perform all other work-related duties assigned by supervisor. Desired competencies It is desirable to have a basic and secondary education and 1-2 years of experience as a cleaner in a humanitarian context. Ukrainian language Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and complete assigned duties on time Ability to work independently or in a team Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks Good communication skills Behavioral competencies These are personal qualities that affect how successful people are in their work.
