We work in the areas of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care, and also carry out advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.

Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with the team, support sectors in the identification, development, planning and implementation of community-level DM prevention and response in all sectors: Conducting relevant, needs-oriented measures to increase awareness/reassurance of ZD for families and children and/or children/families on the move appropriate measures using functional public structures, volunteers. 
  • Support planning and delivery of training and capacity building for SC functional sectors and partner staff to deliver structured SD activities for boys, girls, adolescents and caregivers. Based on agreed intervention packages and curricula prioritized by children's practitioners and PFA II dealing with children in need. 
  • Sending timely update of activity database monthly to MEAL
  • Work as first point of contact for SC sectors and partner organizations on DM related issues in each location; support partnerships to benefit from local expertise, develop local PSS capacity, improve local impact and sustainability of PSS activities.  
  • Regular field visits; monitor the process and provide feedback and support to achieve high-quality PSS prevention and response, document lessons learned and thereby contribute to the development and strengthening of a resilient PSS prevention and response program that can ultimately inform strengthening systems

Requirements:

  • Higher education in the field of social work, pedagogy, sociology. 
  • Minimum 1 year of responsible professional experience in a similar position
  • In-depth knowledge of the guiding principles of child protection, human rights and protection in a humanitarian context. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with partners  
  • Commitment to Save the Children and child protection values. 

    Desirable:
  • Academic education and/or professional experience in providing child and adolescent protection services. 
  • Basic skills of written and oral communication and reporting in English and Ukrainian
  • Experience of working with IDPs, refugees and repatriates.
  • Proficient command of MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
