Boutique Executive Search firm has been retained by the Private Equity Portfolio Company's Board of Directors to identify qualified candidates to assume the position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). The CSO will be responsible for the development and execution of the Company’s strategy and achieving the financial and operational metrics approved by the Company’s Board of Directors. The CSO has full functional accountability and will be responsible for driving future growth within the organization. Candidates will have a passion for establishing scalability coupled with leadership over complex, multi-entity operations. Through a constructive and energetic style, the CSO will provide the leadership and long-term vision necessary to grow the platform and build a cohesive culture among all employees and business unit management teams while maintaining strong EBITDA margins. Responsibilities: Establish leadership credibility at the board level and throughout the platform. Cultivates a shared vision across the platform through fostering relationships. In partnership with the Private Equity Sponsor Deal Lead and Platform CFO, plans and leads the team in preparation for the quarterly board meetings and monthly ops meetings. Partner with the Sponsor Deal Lead and CEO to achieve agreed-upon goals and objectives in a way that does not interfere with the management, operations, and growth strategies of each add-on company while enhancing the sophistication of each business. Participate in evaluating and selecting critical hires for the platform and acquired businesses. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competition, and all aspects of the platform’s market to accomplish goals and strategic plans. Work closely with add-on acquisitions and their management teams on due diligence, integration and alignment of overall strategy and platform goals. Establish KPI’s while training management teams to adopt dashboards to measure performance and continuously improve. Deploy an organic growth strategy and playbook; develop a clear, well-defined strategy and prove out the platform’s ability to deepen its footprint in existing markets. Partner with the Sponsor Deal Lead through the exit process, notably by leading management presentations with potential buyers.
