The South-Western interregional administration of the State Labor Service is a territorial body of the State Labor Service of Ukraine that reports to it.

The powers of the Interregional Administration extend to the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Chernivtsi oblasts.

The main tasks of the Interregional Administration are:

1) implementation of state policy in the spheres of industrial safety, labor protection, occupational hygiene, handling of industrial explosive materials, implementation of state mining supervision, as well as supervision and control over compliance with labor legislation, employment population, mandatory state social insurance in terms of appointment, calculation and payment of assistance, compensation, provision of social services and other types of material support in order to observe the rights and guarantees of insured persons;

2) implementation of integrated management of labor protection and industrial safety at the interregional level;

implementation of state supervision and control in the field of activities related to high-risk objects.

Main duties:

Implementation of state supervision (control) in the field of labor protection, in particular in the area of safe conduct of work, including issues:

-provision of workers with special clothing, special footwear, and other means of individual and collective protection;

- installation, repair, adjustment and safe operation of machines, mechanisms, equipment of transport and other means of production, machines, mechanisms and equipment of increased danger;

- production, storage, use of toxic substances in production processes, including products of biotechnology and other biological agents;

- organization of training (including special) and testing of knowledge on labor protection issues;

Implementation of state supervision (control)in the field of activities related to objects of increased danger.

3) Participation:

– in the work of commissions for the investigation of industrial accidents;

– in the investigation of the circumstances and causes of accidents, takes according to the materials of the specified investigation within the limits of their competence, appropriate decisions;

- in the certification of specialists who have the right to carry out technical inspection and/or expert inspection of machines, mechanisms and equipment of increased danger;

- in the work of commissions for the write-off of state-owned objects;

- in work on improving the system of record-keeping, reporting and state statistics on issues that belong to the competence of the department.

4) Providing employers and employees with information and explanations on effective means of compliance and prevention of possible violations, conducts information and explanatory work on issues that belong to it competence, participates in consideration of appeals from citizens on matters within the competence.

5) Issuance in the established order to employers, business entities, mandatory prescriptions for the elimination of violations of legislation on matters within the competence of the department, and making a proposal to impose disciplinary sanctions on officials guilty of violations of legislation.

6) Compilation of protocols on administrative offenses in cases provided for by law, consideration of cases on such offenses and imposition of administrative fines, keeping their records.

7) Control of compliance with the conditions of validity of permits for the performance of high-risk works and for exploitation (application) of machines, mechanisms, equipment of increased danger. Preparation of administrative documents for state supervision (control) measures, control over their implementation, registration of documents drawn up based on the results of the measures. bachelor's degree, junior bachelor's degree;
