The Volyn regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCSHU) announces the search for a chief consultant for the "Mobile Rehabilitation Teams" project (hereinafter referred to as the chief consultant)

The Red Cross Society of Ukraine is the largest humanitarian organization in Ukraine, which is one of the first to respond to all emergencies situation in the country and provides help to those who need it most.

  Participation in activities and educational sessions aimed at reducing the level of stigma and prejudice towards persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities executor:

Provide consultative physical therapy services to beneficiaries (patients) at their place of residence as part of a mobile rehabilitation team. 

Assess the physical condition of patients and determine individual rehabilitation needs.

Develop and implement evidence-based individual programs for physical rehabilitation (healing).

Monitor the progress of the patient’s recovery, adjust programs according to the results obtained.

Education on the formation of skills that contribute to increasing the patient’s level of independence in everyday life activity.

Assess the need for auxiliary rehabilitation means. Educating patients/caregivers on the proper use and maintenance of assistive devices.

Providing recommendations for remodeling and improving home accessibility to improve patient mobility and independence.

Conduct informational and educational activities for the community population on the benefits of evidence-based physical rehabilitation.

Maintain necessary documentation in accordance with standards and procedures, timely reporting.

Requirements:

Higher education in the field of physical therapy, occupational therapy or rehabilitation (not lower than a bachelor’s degree).

Additional requirements:

Availability of practical experiencetraining in the field of physical therapy.

Knowledge of the principles of evidence-based medicine and modern rehabilitation methods.

Ability to work with patients of different age groups and with various types of impairments.

Developed communication skills, ability to work in a team.

Stress resistance, responsibility, readiness for an on-site model of service delivery.

Willingness to participate in educational and social activities.

Adherence to the fundamental principles of the Red Cross

Proficiency in the Ukrainian language.
