The Ukrainian Red Cross is thousands of people across Ukraine who make the world a better place every day. 

Work as the analysis focal person in the CEA Unit and, in close cooperation with the feedback sector, the information management unit, the communications department, and regional CEA focal points in the regions, will be responsible for creating analytical reports based on information received from the feedback sector, processed and systematized by the information management unit. The analytical reports will be based on the data received from the feedback department, URCS strategic documents, the Government's strategy for overcoming the humanitarian crisis, and OCHA strategic documents. The report should include trend analysis, comparative analysis, and secondary research. The purpose of such reports is to create evidence-based content that will be used by the URCS program and operational team leaders for rapid response, deep and comprehensive understanding of the success of the implemented activities, and in the field of humanitarian advocacy. These reports will be used as part of the URCS communication strategy.

Notably, the role will work under direct supervision of the Head of CEA Unit and receive additional technical support from the CEA Delegate on aspects of CEA coordination, mainstreaming, and capacity building, based on ongoing activities in operation. This will support the transfer of skills and knowledge of the CEA Movement approaches for a greater adaptation to the Ukraine context.

Key Performance Evaluation Criteria:

  1. Timely and accurate analytical reports.
  2. Effective collaboration with relevant departments.
  3. Implementation of feedback analysis tools and methodologies.

Essential Tasks: 

  •  Analyze and structure information received from documents related to the humanitarian crisis response and state institutions' recovery.
  • Use feedback processing tools to structure information via CRM system.
  • Collect, structure, and analyze feedback from alternative sources.
  • Develop analytical reports focusing on URCS programs.
  • Provide recommendations for service improvement based on feedback analysis.
  • Develop advocacy strategies in collaboration with relevant departments.

Additional Tasks:

  • Support the Head of CEA Unit in coordination of CEA approaches across URCS.
  • Support the rollout of global CEA initiatives within URCS.

Requirements 

  • University degree in community development, sociology, anthropology, social work, or equivalent experience.
  • Degree in communication, journalism, political science, conflict studies, international relations, or relevant fields as plus
  • 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience in digital literacy and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of Ukrainian humanitarian crisis aspects, participatory research methods, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of gender and diversity issues, and strong communication skills in English as plus
  • Fluent in Ukrainian.
  • Good command of English as plus

Analytical reports will be based on data received from the feedback department, strategic documents of the TCHU, strategy of the Government on overcoming the humanitarian crisis and strategic documents of the UN on the coordination of humanitarian issues (OCHA). The report should include trend analysis, benchmarking, and secondary research.

The purpose of such reports is to create evidence-based content that will be used by program managers and operational teams of the TCHU for quick response, deep and comprehensive understanding of the success of implemented activities , as well as in the field of humanitarian protection. These reports will be used as part of the TCHU communication strategy.

It is worth noting that the person in this position will work under the direct supervision of the CEA Head and will receive additional technical support from the CEA Delegate on issues of coordination, integration and capacity building of the CEA, based on current activity. This will contribute to the transfer of skills and knowledge regarding the approaches of the CEA Movement for better adaptation to the context of Ukraine.

Requirements:

  • Master degree major in Community Development, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Conflict Studies , International Relations or related fields (preferred).
