Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in HR Agency Key People

Our client - an investment and development group with a focus on real estate and structured financial instruments - is looking for a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) who will be responsible for investment logic, decision quality and portfolio formation.

This is a key strategic role that directly affects the preservation and growth of the group's capital.
The role is not related to sales or fundraising - main focus on underwriting, deal structuring and risk management.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Investment strategy

• Formation and development of the group's investment strategy

• Evaluation of investment opportunities in accordance with the mandate and profitability targets (IRR 15%+)

• Ensuring a balance between profitability and downside risk protection

2. Investment underwriting (key area of responsibility)

• Deep financial and business analysis of investment ideas

• Building and verification of financial models (DCF, sensitivity analysis)

• Scenario modeling, including downside and stress scenarios

• Identification and assessment of risks: market, operational, legal, country

3. Investment Committee and governance

• Preparation of investment materials (Investment Memo, risk analysis, logic of structuring deals)

• Participation in the Investment Committee as a voting member

• Formation of the logic of entry and exit from investments (exit-oriented approach)

4. Portfolio management

• Control of portfolio structure and risk concentration

• Regular monitoring of asset results against the plan

• Early detection of problem signals and initiation of corrective actions

• Interaction with the development team on execution, CAPEX and actual project indicators

Profile candidate:

Experience and expertise

• 8+ years of investment experience (Private Equity, Real Assets, Structured Credit, Special Situations)

• Proven experience in underwriting deals and investment portfolio management

Professional skills

• Strong expertise in financial modeling

• Understanding the legal structuring of deals (SHA, credit agreements, SPV)

• English language - Fluent level

Personal qualities

• Critical thinking and the ability to argue an investment position

• Willingness to work in an environment where many processes are built "with zero"

• High level of responsibility for decisions made
