Chief Accountant in CleverStaff

Forbytes is looking for an experienced, self-organized and highly motivated professional for the Chief Accountant position.

Your primary role (responsibilities) as the Chief Accountant:

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness;

• Organize and store all financial data for easy retrieval;

• Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, accounts payable, and receivable;

• Reconcile accounts, ledgers, and bank statements regularly;

• Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with regulations;

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and optimize tax strategies;

• Communicate with tax authorities and manage tax audits if necessary;

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, PnL, and cash flow statements;

• Analyze financial reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

• Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans for the company;

• Monitor budget performance and report discrepancies or variances

• Process employee payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits;

• Prepare payroll tax reports and ensure timely payment of payroll taxes;

• Conduct financial analysis to support management in decision-making;

• Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete;

• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations;

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements;

• Monitor the changes in financial legislation and ensure the company adheres to them;

• Oversee the company's assets, including inventory, property, and equipment;

• Ensure proper recording, valuation, and depreciation of assets;

• Work closely with other departments, such as HR, Operations, and Sales, to provide financial insights and support;

• Review contracts with suppliers.

Your secondary role (responsibilities):

• Manage bookkeepers within an accounting department

• Oversee and guide military reporting

• Private entrepreneurs (FOP) accounting: registration/closing/keeping records and calculations of individual entrepreneurship taxes.

• Maintaining Private entrepreneurs (FOP) accounting records.

• Private entrepreneurs (FOP) Tax control and reporting.

• Review agreements with Private entrepreneurs.

• Drawing up reports (salary report, managerial reports)
  
  

Requirements

The candidate should demonstrate skills, knowledge, and experience in the following areas: 

• High education in Accounting/Audit/Finance

• 7 years of experience in Accountancy, preferably in IT or companies providing business internationally.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and accounting tools

• At least intermediate speaking and written English level;

• Knowledge of Ukrainian Accounting Standards and Ukrainian Tax legislation, including Dia. city tax law

• Flexibility and readiness to work in a dynamic environment;

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and time management skills.
