Character Producer (1-year contract)

We are looking for a Character producer to join our AI Assistant team of our new product. You will administer all organizational aspects of Character animation (development of character design, character appearance, communication features, a set of emotions, adaptation to the environment, and modifications), ensuring goals and expectations are met and the project is within the deadlines and budgets.

In this role, you will:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (MacPaw) and outsource collaborators, taking briefs and clarifying the requests to get a complete understanding of project goals and desirable outcomes.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to accomplish set goals and approve them with the internal team.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (design, production animation studios, etc.) by setting tasks, managing deadlines, delivering feedback to ensure that project meets internal team needs and expectations.
• Prepare reports on the effectiveness, identify potential opportunities for improvement, adjust future operations in order to achieve goals and improve production efficiency.
• Forecast needed a budget and approve it with the Design Director and CDO.
• Keep abreast of emerging motion design trends to gain insights and find opportunities to increase the effectiveness of MacPaw design practice, leveraging our expertise to set industry-leading standards.
• Together with PMs, copywriters, and other designers generate ideas for character development.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• 5+ years of experience working in a production role where you’ve managed cross-functional teams to create and deliver complex projects.
• Experience in 3D character concepts and development process.
• Experience in creating a wide variety of memorable and emotional characters and creatures.
• Ability to create low-fidelity representations for production and bring final solutions to high-fidelity (detailed prototype models).
• Strong portfolio of finished projects
• Deep understanding of project management tools and practice, high-fidelity character pipelines, and VFX pipelines.
• Self-starter, you approach challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to the final resolution
• Ability to communicate with varying levels of stakeholders within your team and throughout the company.
• Ability to explain the value of design decisions, create briefs for the team, and oversee consistency of character appearance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to receive and offer feedback.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain technical documentation related to character design.
• Advanced English

As a plus:

• 3+ years of experience directly related to 3d/gaming/production design.
• Experience using 3D tools (Cinema 4d, Blender, Spline, etc.).
• Experience delivering projects within a remote/hybrid work environment, as well as any experience using Jira and Shotgrid/Flow, is a plus.
