About the role
This is not an accounting or formal CFO position.
We are looking for a person who:
- thinks in terms of structure, not individual accounts;
- understands the specifics of EdTech / online sales / international payments;
- knows how to work with a business that grows from a medium to large turnover;
- takes responsibility for financial decisions, not just "makes numbers".
Requirements:
1. Experience of financial leadership in international online business
Practical experience of CFO / Head of Finance / Finance Lead in EdTech, IT, SaaS or digital business.
2. Building a financial and legal structure from scratch or rebuilding it
Ability to create a simple, secure and scalable structure for international sales and business growth.
3. Tax Strategy for International EdTech
Real experience in tax planning, tax burden control and tax risk management of online sales.
4. Working with banks and payment infrastructure
Experience of working with European/international banks and payment systems (Stripe, PayPal, WayForPay and others).
5. Management of payment and compliance risks
Understanding of AML / KYC, chargeback model and practical experience of solutions when blocking accounts or payment accounts.
6. Management accounting and financial control
Ability to build management accounting from scratch (P&L, Cash Flow, unit economy) and control the financial state of the business.
7. Financial Analytics for Owner Decisions
Ability to analyze product and launch margins and translate numbers into clear management recommendations.
8. Working with owners living abroad
Experience of interacting with non-resident business owners and understanding their financial and tax risks.
9. Owners' financial security and income structure
Ability to distinguish between business and personal finances and participate in building a secure owner's income structure.
10. High level of responsibility, autonomy and confidentiality.
11. English language at the level of interaction with banks and external consultants.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial and legal structure
Building an international optimal financial and legal structure taking into account:
- international sales,
- online payments,
- tax risks,
- residence of owners abroad
Preparation of the structure for the scaling of turnovertu
Deciding when to simplify the structure and when to complicate it
2. Taxes and risks
Formation of a clear and safe tax strategy
Control of the tax burden in different jurisdictions
Working with accountants and tax consultants
3. Payments, banks, compliance
Building a payment infrastructure for EdTech: payment systems / acquiring / back-up payment solutions
Control of AML / KYC risks
Managing the risks of blocking accounts and payments
Supporting large transactions
Working with European and international banks
4. Financial analytics and control
Construction of simple and clear management accounting
Control: Cash Flow / P&L / margins of products and launches
Financial conclusions for owners.
5. Owners' financial security
Separation of business funds and personal finances
Consultations on: / tax residency / owners' income structure / asset protection
6. Team and operations
Setting tasks for accountants / financial manager
Execution control
Building processes that work without constant manual participation
Working conditions:
Flexible format of cooperation (full-time from 10:00 to 19:00 /or part-time - discussed)
