Category manager (material support) in Derzhavniy Operator Tilu

The State Operator of the Home Front (DOT) is a state agency that provides for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

Guided by the principles of integrity and people-centeredness, we supply food, clothing, fuel and lubricants, and medical equipment for the needs of the military. 

We are convinced that supplying the army should not only be interesting to the market, but also honorable. Our task is to develop an appropriate system of relations with suppliers, increasing the value of each invested hryvnia of the state budget.

Main duties in the position:

• Analysis customer needs to provide products of the appropriate category.
• Analysis of customer requirements for products.
• Study of the market, structure, participants, trends, purchasing practices, etc.
• Determination of the expected cost of goods in view of the market situation and previous ones.
• Development of the project of qualification requirements for potential participants of procurement procedures.
• Development of the project of requirements for procurement items taking into account current legislation, industry requirements, customer expectations, best practices.
• Participation in the qualification of the supplier and evaluation of proposals within the scope of the competence.
• Interaction with suppliers, direct participation in the selection and purchase of goods.
• Participation in training events, presentations with the aim of explaining the category strategy to potential procurement participants, state authorities, stakeholders.
• Preparation of draft responses to appeals and requests from citizens, state authorities, etc.

Necessary skills and qualifications:

• Experience in a similar position of the relevant category for 3 years or more.
• Higher education in sales/purchasing, marketing, economics, management, law.
• Knowledge of the retail market.
• Ability to analyze information and make decisions based on numerical indicators.
• High communication skills and the ability to cooperate with company departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to accept stressful situations.
• Analytical skills, logical thinking. 

Technical knowledge and software:

• A confident user of Microsoft package.
• Experience in SAP is an advantage.
• The ability to work in task trackers is an advantage.

Personal qualities and characteristics:
