Role purpose :
< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal">Cash and Voucher Assistance / Food Security and Livelihood Project Expert (FSL/CVA) is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of thematic activities/projects aimed at supporting affected families and children in meeting their basic needs and supporting their livelihoods in a way that strengthens the protective environment for children.
This position will oversee the FSL/CVA program in the Northern region.
Key thematic interventions in the Northern to the region include cash payments (MPCA, Protection Money, Livelihood Recovery Grants and others) and livelihoods (employment, micro-businesses, agriculture and others). This position will develop productive coordination with stakeholders including local authorities, NGOs, clusters and communities. Expert will provide support in the development and implementation of quality programs FSL/CVA through needs assessment, participation in program development and other related activities.
Primary responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of quality thematic interventions according to the methodology developed for each intervention in the area of Coordinate the implementation of all activities related to the support of FSL/CVA, and providing resources in coordination with MEAL, awards, supply, finance, partnership and other structures related to the subin Roman, within the framework of SCI.
- Lead the project team in the planning, implementation and monitoring of sub-thematic activities, focusing on needs-based targeting. Collaborate with MEAL and FSL and CVA advisors to establish quality criteria and assessment methodologies.
- Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with donor requirements and SCI policies, SoPs and procedures.
- Ensuring proper handling, storage, transportation, distribution, tracking, full accounting and reporting of project assets and resources for target populations in accordance with donor and SCI requirements.
- Visit target communities regularly to gain insight and experience, determine the most appropriate ways to provide assistance in the field of FSL/CVA< /span>.
- Contribute to the profiling of competencies and develop/contextualize training resources on employment and protection of enterprises.
- Management and support of project tools such as technical proposals, LogFrame, work plans, budgets and contracts with partners and beneficiaries.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the team to achieve program goals and objectives, including managing vacation and work hours.

- Regularly assess the development needs of the FSL/CVA team and recommend capacity building sessions in conjunction with FSL and CVA assistants.
- Ensure the presence of SCI in relevant coordination platforms in the region, such as sub-clusters, forums and others.
- Participate in regular FSL/CVA coordination meetings.
- Develop initial, monthly, quarterly and final reports according to donor requirements and formats.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the SCI team on project status and contextual changes, including providing complete and accurate data for national and global products such as as FSLC 5W (activity information), internal and external descriptive reportsyou, as well as reports for donors.
To be successful, you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, agriculture, law, or other relevant field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of work experience, of which 2 years in an NGO.
- Excellent understanding of the local market, economy, vulnerabilities and government programs in agriculture and employment.
- Understanding cash and voucher assistance, and food security and livelihoods programs.
- Experience in project management and coordination within NGOs, including working in partnership with local NGOs.
