project "Food Security and Livelihoods/ Cash and Voucher Assistance (FSL/CVA) is a national post based in Sumy. The main role of the project specialist is to plan and implement interventions in the areas included in the Northern Regional Office, as well as to perform the relevant tasks. The portfolio of projects in this area focuses on monetary payments (MPCA , "Money for protection", grants for the restoration of livelihoods and others) and livelihoods (employment, micro-business, agriculture and others). The incumbent will be expected to support the medium and long-term delivery programs of FSL/CVA in the region by effectively coordinating with stakeholders, including local authorities, NGOs and communities.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • < span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal">Implement thematic interventions in accordance with technical proposals, logical-structural scheme, work plan , budget, contracts with partners and beneficiaries. 
  • Contribute to the improvement of implementation plans taking into account contextual changes and changes in needs. 
  • Assist the Project Coordinator with FSL/CVA in creating clarity on the overall direction and possible actions to improve the targeting, timeliness and quality of assistance within the < span style="font-style: normal; font-weight: 400">FSL/CVA
  • Building productive relationships with partners and communities. 
  • Consulworking with technical advisors, contribute to the development of technical resources such as training programs, forms, handouts and others. 
  • Support planning and implementation of stakeholder engagement and coordination efforts, including local authorities, partners and others. 
  • Ensuring the presence of SCI in relevant coordination platforms in the region such as sub-clusters, forums and others. 
  • Participate in weekly FSL/CVA coordination meetings. 
  • Support the FSL/CVA Project Coordinator in the development of initial, monthly, quarterly and final reports as per requirements and formats. 
  • Regularly update monitoring and reporting tools such as purchase requisitions, trackers, cost tables and others. 
  • Provide complete and accurate data to FSL/CVA Project Coordinator for reporting at FSL Subcluster and 5Ws meetings.  

To be successful, you must have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in the relevant field : Business administration, economics, marketing, agriculture. 
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including 1 year of experience in an NGO. 
  • Good understanding of the local market, economy, vulnerabilities and government programs in agriculture and employment. 
  • Good understanding of fundamentals and principles of food security, livelihoods and monetary resources.  
  • Experience in developing and conducting trainings.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
  • Good analytical (thinking) skills with the ability to prepare high-quality analytical reports, case studies. 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point. 
  • Proficiency in oral and written English and Ukrainian languages.
