The Estonian Refugee Council has been working and providing assistance in Ukraine since 2014 and has now covered 9 regions with ongoing humanitarian projects and monitoring visits. We are looking for a Cash Assistance Program Assistant for our international team!
The Cash Assistance Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the registration process for Cash Assistance Programs in the Program area in accordance with ERC procedures and standards. The Cash Assistance Program Assistant reports to the Cash Assistance Program Lead Specialist.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct registration, vulnerability assessment, and compliance with the Cash Assistance Program participation criteria in the target area.
- Provide registered households with information about the Cash Assistance Program, their rights, and expected delivery dates assistance.
- Report any challenges or problems to the Cash Assistance Program lead specialist as soon as they arise.
- Receive and summarize comments and feedback from beneficiaries to help identify program challenges and more effectively implement the Cash Assistance Program.
- Provide daily progress reports to the Cash Assistance Program lead specialist.
- Provide field support activities when necessary for data collection and focus group discussions (FGDs).
- Comply with all ERC policies, including the Code of Conduct and the Safeguards Policy.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Lead Specialist of the Grant Program as long as they are consistent with the goals and objectives of the Program.
Skills and qualifications:
- Relevant work experience - preferably in the field of humanitarianism, social work, community development, NGOs or civil society organizations.
- Experience in data collection and entry - desirable.
- Ability to facilitate (under appropriate guidance) the registration of participants in the Cash Assistance Program with an understanding of the principles and criteria underlying the selection.
- Possession of basic computer skills and ability to use programs such as MS Excel and Word.
- Developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collect information objectively, adequately and delicately, carefully observing, actively listening and understanding what is being discussed.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality of sensitive information/data.
- Fluent command of Ukrainian language
- Knowledge of the English language is an advantage.
