"Tenth of April" is a public organization that works to improve the protection of the population affected by the conflict by providing legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, promotes changes in legislation, involvement of communities in responding to emergency situations and finding long-term solutions, in cooperation with the authorities and by supporting their potential, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.

In cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council with the financial support of the US State Department, we are implementing a project aimed at increasing the level of security, psychological resilience and socio-economic stability of war-affected persons through an integrated response to their needs.

Project title "Livelihood Restoration Assistance in Ukraine" in cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council with financial support from the US State Department

Task and duties:

  • Under the direction of the coordinator and in close cooperation with other project specialists, the Case Manager has the following duties:

Identification and assessment of needs:

  • Perform initial identification of aid recipients (in particular, internally displaced persons and evacuees) in their places of temporary residence.
  • Use standardized forms to collect data on the needs of beneficiaries.
  • Conduct individual needs assessments, identify vulnerabilities and risks.

Support and counseling:

  • Provide individual support to service recipients, including physical support to state institutions and other services.
  • Consult beneficiaries on access to social services and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Redirect service recipients to relevant project specialists (psychologists, social workers etc.).
  • Registration of beneficiaries to receive assistance (cash and in kind), using digital tools, online forms and scoring systems.

Monitoring and documentation:

  • Keeping and filing cases recipients of assistance in accordance with the established standards and methodology.
  • Monitor the provision of servicesand meeting the needs of beneficiaries.
  • Participate in activities related to protection monitoring, such as conducting interviews and focus group discussions with key persons.

Community work and coordination:

  • Interact with representatives of authorities, enterprises, institutions, organizations, activists and communities to exchange information and establish effective cooperation.
  • If necessary, make door-to-door visits to beneficiaries.
  • Participate in working meetings, meetings and other project activities aimed at developing professional skills and improving the efficiency of project activities.

Reporting and administration:

  • Timely submit reports on the execution of tasks in the format approved by the project management.
  • Report on the progress of tasks and the achievement of project goals goals.

Other duties:

  • Perform other tasks within the scope of the project as needed.

Qualification requirements

Technical skills

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of humanities, social sciences or other relevant field.
  • Experience in humanitarian projects is welcome.
  • Experience in providing individual consultations and support.
  • Experience and willingness to work with internally displaced persons persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable categories of the population.
  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of English (oral and written) is an advantage.
  • Readiness for regular trips within the borders of the region, in particular to de-occupied and affected communities (taking into account the security situation, personal protective equipment are provided).
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Ability and ability to solve tasks within the limits of assigned responsibilities and project goals.
  • Excellent computer skills (must be MS Office), as well as skills to work with electronic databases.
  • Psychological stability and ability to work in stressful situations conditions.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with different groups of beneficiaries.
  • Knowledge of the local context or work experience in the project implementation region.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development and training activities for professional development.

Experience in group facilitation (preferred).
