About PGA:

Polish Humanitarian Action (PGA) is an international non-governmental organization that has been providing humanitarian and development aid worldwide since 1992. So far, interventions have been carried out in 46 countries. With years of experience in the implementation of projects in the fields of water supply, sanitation and hygiene, food security and livelihoods, as well as nutrition and education, PGA focuses its global activities on ensuring the sustainable and stable development of regions suffering from the consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises. Since July 2014, PGA has been operating in Ukraine, providing humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable people affected by the conflict. PGA provides assistance to internally displaced persons, elderly people and single mothers working in food security, psychosocial support and livelihoods sectors. The PGA branch in Ukraine is currently expanding programming from humanitarian programs to early recovery and development-oriented activities.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work of case managers to ensure timely implementation of program measures.
  • Providing advisory assistance and technical support to partner organizations in the implementation of case management and protection standards.
  • Participation in coordination meetings at the level of clusters and working groups, interaction with other protection entities and local authorities.
  • Development of materials and conducting trainings for the team and partners on reporting mechanisms and best practices protection.
  • Regular monitoring visits to project implementation sites to check compliance of work with established standards.
  • Overseeing the creation and maintenance of document flow, as well as ensuring the safe storage of documentation in accordance with data protection policies

The candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:

  • Diploma in Sociology, Socialof work, psychology, international development or related fields.
  • Excellent technical knowledge in the field of case management, PPSSP and legal protection.
  • Experience in implementing protection programs in emergency situations.
  • Good understanding of the Ukrainian humanitarian context and approaches at the community level.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Ukrainian and English languages.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, Google Apps and mobile applications.
  • Ability to work independently, confidentiality and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle workload
