Job Description

Expert of Case Management will provide case management services for women and girls who have survived violence. Case management is a structured method of providing emotional support and supporting people in accessing services. Specialist case management will work with the Deputy Manager of Anti-Terrorism to ensure quality case management services. They will work closely with coordinators in local communities, health facilities, women's networks, other community groups and humanitarian agencies. 

To be successful in this position, the candidate must perform the main duties independently or special working conditions are required.

Main tasks and responsibilities'< /strong>links

  • Provide age-appropriate case management services with a focus on survivors of GBV and vulnerable women and girls, including survivors of GBV needs assessment; conducting basic consultations; provide support in the development and implementation of a care plan; support in the development and implementation of a security plan; and support in accessing services, additional services in accordance with the wishes of clients.
  • Safely redirect clients to receive medical and legal services according to needs. 
  • Complete case management documentation including referral forms and other appropriate forms.  
  • As part of case management, conduct all necessary activities and consult with a prevention specialistinformation on additional actions that may be needed.
  • Facilitate and support psychosocial activities for women and girls. 
  • Participate in case meetings as necessary. 
  • Get customer feedback and adapt services accordingly. 
  • Follow robust data protection and information sharing protocols to protect the privacy and safety of survivors of violence. 
  • Conduct service mapping exercises to support referral pathways and identify target audiences for training. 
  • Help conduct assessments to understand the needs of women and girls and conduct consultations with women and girls. 
  • Monitor the achievement of the target audience and write activity reports and other program reports. 
  • Incorporate security measures into all program activities, review initial initiatives with relevant stakeholders.  
  • Demonstrate the basic principles of working with women and girls who have survived violence, such as respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of power, promotion of gender equality.
  • Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, generally through adherence to principles of conduct and ethics, safety and protection against sexual exploitation and abuse policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant experience in helping women and girls, as well as experience in case management
  • Relevant experience in helping women and girls; relevant academic experience, such as experience as a social worker, is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the core principles of the GZN program, such as gender equality and providing services focused on survivors of violence.
  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language. In English - preferably
  • Demonstrate commitment to the principles of gender equality and an interest in working to prevent violence against women and girls. 
  • Be familiar with the principles of women's protection or women's rights, such as programs of empowerment, reproductive health, counseling, etc. 
  • Be comfortable talking about sensitive topics and working with people who are under stress. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Experience with Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint, Teams.
