BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. Since the beginning of the war in Eastern Ukraine, as well as after the full-scale invasion, the Foundation has monitored the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in various regions of Ukraine. 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kyiv region has become a place where a significant number of internally displaced persons are concentrated. This region became a kind of stronghold for those who were forced to leave their hometowns and villages and to this day is a place where people stay after displacement and continue to rebuild their own lives.

In order to cover the problems of such people BF "Right to Protection" in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency implement the project "Advocacy, protection and legal assistance to internally displaced persons".

To implement this The "Right to Protection" project is looking for a candidate for the position of Career Development Specialist.

GEOGRAPHY strong> COVERAGE

Career development specialist based in Poltava. The activity may involve travel within the Poltava region. 

, job searches and applying for employment or realizing oneself in the field of self-employment;

  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with employment centers, centers for the provision of social services, places of temporary residence beneficiaries, non-governmental public organizations, various socially responsible companies, employers and other stakeholders in the areas determined by the project;
  • Creation and continuous expansion of the base of employers for the employment of beneficiaries;
  • Individual and group work with beneficiaries in order to prepare them for employment or self-employment, including:
  • Basic training skills of interaction with employers (for example, correct resume writing; understanding employers' expectations, communication with employers, etc.);
  • Help in finding vacancies and opportunities for self-development; 
  • Support in the process of applying for employment;
  • Introduction to ways of starting your own business and assistance in this process;
  • Mentoring of beneficiaries after employment to solve problematic issues and ensuring constant work;
  • Preparation of written explanations and informational materials;
  • Ensuring complete, thorough, accurate documentation in the proper order in accordance with legal norms and rules of ethics;
  • Ensuring the accuracy, content and timeliness of statistical and analytical reports, and other relevant psupporting documents;
  • Conducting trainings, information sessions and presentations;
  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.
  • < strong>PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Higher education in economics or socio-economic development, business administration, social work, psychology or other related field industry;
    • Desirable experience in the field of consulting, sales, marketing, human resources or a related field;
    • Ability to make regular trips to areas determined by the project;
    • Customer orientation, courtesy and diplomacy;
    • Performance of duties guided by gender, age sensitivity and zero tolerance for sexual harassment; 
    • Fluency in Ukrainian;
    • Experience working with internally displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities will be an advantage;
    • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
    • Ability to work closely with team members;
    • Good analytical skills abilities and attention to detail;
    • Self-motivation;
    • Flexibility.
