Description:We are hiring a CAD Designer in Anamosa, IA!Responsibilites:Modeling the metal structures using field dimension or scale data to fit architecture projectsSupport the product engineering teams on drafting and detailing workAttend project planning meetings with engineering teamsProduce three-dimensional models using computer-aided design (CAD) softwareProgramming on CNC machinesWill stay on one project start to finishWorking through multiple projects using both 2D CAD layout and 3D modelingAbout:We are a great company, small enough, people-oriented, max care board where they put a percentage of revenue into an account and use that money to provide loans to employees, holiday celebrations, and they offer counseling resources.Growth Opportunity: start as a designer, then could move to lead designer, then senior designer.Opportunity to move within the organization, including sales. Everything is performance based. Evaluations annually, and pay raises are assessed based on performance.Major projects: University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Cedar Rapids Public Library, Hilton Garden InnMajority of the day is spent at a desk.Can work a hybrid schedule once they are trained.Hours: flex schedule, typically 8am-5pmSkills:Autocadblueprint readingDesign experience, preferrably Autocad (2D or 3D)Rhino design software experience preferredQualifications:6+ months CAD drafting/modeling experience in a comparable software (Inventor, Revit, Autodesk, Creo, Solidworks),Blend of 2D and 3D design experience preferred, but would entertain the 3D side more.Degree not required, but mechanical engineering experience or degree would be a plusAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
