Description:Work closely with the Product Engineer and cross-functional team to develop product designs that satisfy the customer’s needs and represents the best balance of cost, manufacturability, form, fit, function, appearance and qualityEnsure implementation of new products and changes to existing products are consistent with new product development plans, Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Requests(ECR), First Article Inspections(FAI), and Cost Reduction/Standardization plansWith the assistance of manufacturing engineering, dimension and tolerance component features assuring that selected tolerances are within manufacturing capabilityIncorporate GD&T on drawings, perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure accuracy and manufacturabilityChecks engineering drawings and assemblies using accepted engineering/drafting practices and standardsConstructs and or develops product, system, subsystem or component data files in file formats that would be compatible with other CAD systems and systems that take advantage of techniques such as Rapid PrototypingPrepare/build prototype parts, assemblies and test fixtures. Collect and analyze test data.Skills:SolidworksMechanical designAdditional Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Designer with Electro-mechanical products Proficient in SolidWorks Must have experiences with mechanical design enclosures and electrical design knowledges is preferred5 to 7 years 2D/3D CAD experience, emphasizing 3D solid modeling.
