VACANCY:Coordinator for business support, head of a structural division (with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Cohesion and Regional Development of Ukraine", UCORD).< /strong>

Place of work: Ukraine, Khmelnytskyi (city center), office of the Regional Development Agency of Khmelnytskyi region, full time.

Expected start date:August 1, 2024.

Form of employment: main place of work, fixed-term employment contract (29 months), trial period – 3 months.< /p>

Background

The Agency for Regional Development of Khmelnytskyi Region (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) is a non-profit institution established for the purpose of effective implementation of state regional policy in Khmelnytskyi Region.

The agency, in cooperation with state authorities and local self-government bodies, universities and research organizations, the business environment, professional and public organizations, initiates, develops and implements regional and local development projects that improve the quality of life of residents of Khmelnytskyi and strengthen the economic potential of the region .

During the next 30 months, the Agency will implement measures within the framework of the grant support received from the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Cohesion and Regional Development of Ukraine", UCORD (hereinafter referred to as the UCORD* project).

Responsibilities:

• systematic communication with local and regional business, identifying its needs, working with needs;
• search for new business ideas and promising projects;
• informing entrepreneurs about business opportunities;
• evaluating business plans, identifying opportunities for business, market evaluation;
• promoting the establishment of business contacts and cooperation between entrepreneurs in the region, with entrepreneurs and business communities abroad;
• working with potential investors;
• li>presentation of resources and competitive advantages of the region;
• providing advice to communities and other interested parties on creating a favorable climate for business, implementing various business support tools, opportunities to attract business to the community;
• performance of other tasks necessary for the work of the Agency.

Requirements for the candidate:

• higher education in the field of economics , banking, law or related fields;
• at least 2 years of experience in finance and investment, or in the private sector;
• understanding of investment activities;
• knowledge of the legislative framework of Ukraine regarding the support of entrepreneurship and investment activity;
• understanding of the needs of Khmelnytskyi region in business support;
• familiarity with regional politics and economy, including knowledge of the answersof key institutions operating in the Khmelnytskyi region;
• competent written and spoken Ukrainian language, knowledge of English will be an advantage;
• confident PC user - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and others specialized programs;
• strong communication and presentation skills.

*The UCORD project focuses on the transformation of organizational structures of regional development agencies in 6 pilot regions of Ukraine (Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Ternopil, Vinnytsia , Odesa and Volyn), as well as building their capacities in order to establish their role as leaders and facilitators of recovery, capable of determining regional priorities and forming partnerships for the development and implementation of projects that fully realize the potential of the regions.

The project is implemented with the support of Switzerland by NIRAS Sweden AB. The UCORD project is currently in its first phase, which began in December 2022 and will continue until November 2026. In total, the project is designed for three 4-year phases with a total duration of 12 years.

The goal of the UCORD project is to promote coordinated actions for recovery and coordinated regional development on the part of citizens, businesses and authorities, which in turn improves people's quality of life, strengthens the stability of society, peace and social cohesion in Ukraine.
