1  Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and skillful specialist able to understand business and develop it. Together with the Product Manager, this person should facilitate the development of new features and improvement of the existing product. The candidate should easily understand a value of software products and be able to employ common best practices of business analysis to deliver state of the art documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring competing products and provide competitive insights;
• Interact with Product Management to develop and maintain the product roadmap;
• Provide Product Manager with the rapid evaluation of implementation complexity, UI intuitivity, and feature consistency;
• Collaborate proactively with customers’ teams, project managers, and teams to reach a common understanding of the solution;
• Manage requirements communication considering the project’s specifics and stakeholders’ preferences;
• Moderate meetings and workshops;
• Communicate on requirements and general solution questions with internal and external stakeholders;
• Conduct requirements elicitation sessions with different types of stakeholders, including end-users;
• Analyse business requirements and specify them to an appropriate level of details;
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation;
• Define quality attributes (non-functional requirements);
• Extract requirements from existing documentation (high-level documentation, SRS, RFP etc.);
• Create conceptual mock-ups and prototypes. Visualize requirements on different stages of the project;
• Create detailed and understandable story requirements, tasks, support functionality till production.

2 Skills and Qualifications

2.1 Experience and education

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis;
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
• Advanced English (both written and verbal).

2.2 Communication skills

• Good interpersonal and facilitation skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization;
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills;
• The capability of communicating clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain good relationships with co-workers;
• Flexibility to work in multi-cultural and multi-functional environments;
• Ability to accept criticism for continuous improvement.

2.3 Cognitive skills

2.4 Hard Skills

• Understanding of SDLC and software development methodologies;
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (JIRA & Confluence);
• Experience in Agile methodologies;
• Excellent knowledge of system analysis, business process analysis, and optimization;
• Modeling skills including notations UML, BPMN;
• Understanding and ability to identify the customer need;
• Strong knowledge in practices and techniques of business analysis and requirements gathering;
• Good understanding of UX and design;
• Ability to produce visually attractive materials;
• Good understanding of integration process with 3-d party service providers;
• Ability to identify corner cases and provide the solution for them.

2.5 Will be a plus

• Experience working in distributed teams;
• Experience in Finance or Reinsurance domain;
• Experience in trading;
• Experience in software projects roles (QA, Requirement Manager, Data Analyst);
• German language;
• Experience working in an enterprise environment;
• Any relevant certification;
• Experience in pre-sales activities as BA;

Experience taking part in or leading workshops.
