The Manager/Merchandiser will have an acute sense of fashion trends, ability to identify consumer habits, demonstrate a deep understanding of product, social media trends, and ability to work with speed, accuracy, with a high degree of cross-functional excellence. The Manager/Merchandiser will be an integral part of the building the brand and work very closely with the Sr. Director in driving profitable product assortments.Job ResponsibilitiesExecute research and development for women’s apparel categories for local sub-brand. Identify micro and macro existing and emerging trends. Present findings and actions to Director.Support the development and execution of monthly trend stories while adhering to line plan.Collaborate with Director to develop monthly line plan by category and sub-classes, fabric, and colors.Prepare detailed development direction to overseas team that requires little follow up while controlling development costs and strategizing fabric.Daily follow up and communication with overseas team to minimize production risk.Participation in weekly video fittings with China team and effectively make product decisions.Prepare comments for bulk denim fittings in LA office and communicate to China team.Review, analyzing, and reporting on best and slow selling products. Create and execute merchandise strategies under guidance of Director.Be the voice of merchandising for the brand and lead cross-functional LA and overseas teams.Partner with studio and marketing teams to drive product directives.Responsible for preparing and follow up on post-photography process, styling directives, reviewing, and selecting images. Communicate on master style list with China team.coordinator to ensure milestones are achieved and daily tasks executed.Job RequirementsBachelors Degree2+ years of working in Ecommerce merchandising/buying.Trend driven and creative. Knowledge of designers and influencers.Experience with product development, understanding of fabric, construction, and fit.Highly organized, calendar driven and ability to self-manage.Skilled at collaboration and problem solving.Knowledge of retail math.Computer savvy.Positive attitude and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.M-F onsite.
