Provides written recommendations to project leaders, technical project leads, and management.Serves in a technical staff assistance capacity to program or management relative to a wide range of topics and policies. To verify registration, visit SSS.gov.QualificationsOnly experience and education obtained by 04/03/2024 will be considered.In order to qualify for this position, you must possess both the Basic Education Requirement and Minimum Qualification:Basic Education RequirementPossess a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, ORPossess a combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.Minimum Qualification GS-0401-12Possess 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level, in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience may include: serving in a technical staff assistance capacity to program or management relative to a wide range of topics and policies; design, plan, manage, lead, and conduct a wide variety of investigations, assessments or inspections involving complex biological, chemical, and physical processes; facilitate contact and communication with biologists throughout the assigned organization and the Service, as needed, and with other agencies (federal, tribal, and state) with similar programs. Provide technical biological guidance to requestors implementing programs for the program area of the assigned organization.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
