About the role: We are looking for a seasoned Big Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in our transformational journey. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to meet the stringent audit requirements surrounding data sharing, accessibility, and governance. Perfect skillset: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a focus on Java programming and data integration. Proven expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot. Extensive experience working with Big Data technologies, particularly on the Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of data governance principles and compliance standards within the financial services industry. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Nice to have: Experience working in the financial services industry, particularly within a banking environment. Certification in Google Cloud Platform or related technologies. Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
